Fall Harvest

I canned these pears on Monday night.

Here is my orchard. I have 8 fruit trees. In the back row are the apples trees; a Red Delicious, a Granny Smith and a Red Jonathan. In the middle row on the left is Apricot, in the middle is an Anjou Pear that I got all of these Pears from, and a Barttlett Pear. In the front on the left is a Peach and on the right is the Plum. As you can see I have been busy. I have been drying the apples. I canned the peaches and made jam. I only had a few Plums so I made some jam.

Here are some I picked from the pear tree. This is what is left after I canned some.

These are the pears I just canned tonight. I put red cinnamon hearts in them.

Halloween Tradition

In the Boyer household we have two Halloween traditions. One is this scarecrow. I make him out of an old pair of jeans and a old shirt. I stuff him with old newspapers. He sits on hay. All the grand kids love him. These kids are Tanya's. They are from the left to right, Porter is 6, Violet is 3, Dakota is 4 1/2, and Reese is 7 1/2.

The second is that I put this ghost holding a pumpkin out. I turn him on every evening and in the mornings. He was a Relief Society project over 30 years ago.

My daughter Delora made a table runner for herself and then made one for me. Here is my runner and I add leaves and pilgrims on my table. Thanks Delora for making my table runner.

Did It

Check out the background. It finally did it without any help. I just kept playing with it. I guess that is how I am going to learn.

New Background

I tried to change the background and messed up. It is 5:11 AM, so I am going to have too wait till I can get some help from Delora to change it back.

First Time

I have enjoyed reading different blogs. So, I decided I would be brave and start one for my self. There is a lot of things I have to learn to do. Watch for more as I learn what I am doing.
